Welcome to Octopilot AI ("we," "our," or "the App"). By using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Octopilot AI.

1. Eligibility

By using Octopilot AI, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old or have the consent of a parent or guardian. Users under 13 should not create accounts.

2. Accounts and Authentication

• Users must create an account to access the App via Google OAuth or Apple Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information during registration.

3. User Content Rules

While Octopilot AI does not store essays, you agree not to use the App to create content that is:

• Illegal or promotes illegal activity
• Harmful, abusive, or offensive
• Infringing on the rights of others

We reserve the right to investigate and address any misuse.

4. Subscription and Payments

• Octopilot AI may offer paid subscriptions via in-app purchases on the App Store.
• You authorize Apple to process payments, and all subscription terms are subject to Apple's payment policies.
• Prices are subject to change, and you are responsible for paying all fees for active subscriptions.
• Refunds are governed by Apple's policies; we do not issue independent refunds.

5. Limitation of Liability and Warranty

• Octopilot AI is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.
• In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App.

6. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms or abuse of the App.
• You may delete your account at any time via the in-app "Delete Account" button.
• Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.

7. Data Privacy

Your use of Octopilot AI is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains the collection, use, and sharing of information.

8. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, unless local laws dictate otherwise.

Any disputes arising from use of the App shall be resolved through amicable discussion. If unresolved, disputes may be subject to arbitration or legal proceedings in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App and take effect immediately. Continued use of Octopilot AI constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
